From what I can judge from the index in the preview, it's almost the same stuff. Okay, more orderly organized, okay more amazing art and coverings, but honestly what's new in it? Any updates on when or if this will happen? Is it possible for you guys to make a pdf version with the maps and heraldic crests removed to another file?
Having the pages be different sizes makes the pdf much harder to use with features such a fit screen or width. I made my own version by printing it as a PDF with those pages missing and it really improves the document. Unfortunately, this also results in a loss of bookmarks and I'm guessing hyperlinks. I'd love to have the best of both worlds. Thanks for your consideration.
Generally if the PDF is using good pagination with sections where the cover and endpages and introductions are using names like A, B, C, or i, ii, iii or if the PDF itself was originally created to include the cover page as page 1 and so on, with modern documents you'll be able to remove those pages without affecting bookmarks and hyperlinks.
