Obviously, sending my phone in without a back up is not an option. I have been having this issue for about two months now. It happens when I am on my mobile data only and wifi only. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it. This is my last ditch effort before I move unhappily away from Samsung and to an iPhone.

I thought I had it resolved at one point, but it didn't last very long. I thought it had to do with the APN Settings and still may. Then I figured out the preinstalled app "Lookout" which you can not uninstall, btw was the culprit because after I shut it off the issue was resolved!

Instead of rebooting your phone everytime, just shut off your Wi-Fi on your phone, the "retry" the download, or click on the photo after the spinner stops.
Then turn back on your Wi-Fi again on your phone. I got so fed up when no explanation was given after it happened back to back weeks as I was getting ready to leave for a trip. I ended up switching to Verizon and my problem instantly went away. The process to switch was like a bad divorce as well, just overall not fun. Just my thoughts.

I can't send pics to people anymore and in group texts, people in the group get my texts a whole day later. The best way is to uninstall them.
